ECM Spotlight: Chuck Sailors of Jewish Vocational Service

December 19, 2023

Meet our January ECM Spotlight: Chuck Sailors of Jewish Vocational Service! Chuck is Director of Development at JVS, a United Way Impact 100 organization, and this is his first year as an ECM.

Chuck emphasizes the unique opportunity United Way provides to support a variety of organizations working on important needs across Kansas City. “We want folks to be able to give to the most impactful places here in Kansas City and are appreciative of not only being a part of that, [but] being able to identify those folks who are doing the best work… and be able to put that in front of our staff,” he says.

Chuck infuses fun into JVS’s campaign by applying what he has learned to create an engaging environment with great incentives for giving. He looks forward to the different activities that his team is able to experience through their campaign like miniature golf in the hallways or throwing a costume party.

“We’ve got a group of staff from all over the world who have been served by JVS and are passionate about Kansas City… I’m excited to kind of reintroduce the campaign to them because I know that this is a group of generous folks who are looking for easy ways to give back to the community,” he says. He shares that this opportunity is great for team members wanting to give to multiple organizations that they are passionate about in Kansas City.

Thank you, Chuck, for your passion for helping our community and connecting others with opportunities to do the same. Keep an eye out for additional uplifting stories as we continue to highlight ECMs who exemplify the essence of being a Waymaker™.
