We are excited to introduce a new member to the UWGKC Executive team! Precious Stargell Cushman has joined our team as Chief Impact Officer.
Precious Stargell Cushman is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years delivering impressive results by creating, executing and transforming business and nonprofit strategies for growth and sustainability. Precious’ background includes progressive leadership roles from management trainee to executive management positions with global financial and technology organizations such as Wells Fargo, Bank of America, UMB and FiServ. Ultimately, to follow her passion, Precious made a deliberate career choice to join the United Way of Greater Kansas City prior to assuming her current role at Community LINC.
With vast experience within both global financial services as well as national and local nonprofits, her uncommon career provides an unparalleled vantage point to leverage for profit disciplines to set community needs in action with the appropriate strategy and thought leadership. Most recently as CEO of Community LINC, she has been at the forefront of codifying and expanding services for houseless households and scaling attainable housing initiatives as both a renovator and builder of homes in Kansas City.
Precious is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Kansas City in 2007. Precious holds an M.B.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and B.A. from Dartmouth College. She has held numerous board and community advocacy positions including roles as a founding member of the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Greater Kansas City, Alumni Council of Dartmouth College, Board Member of DeKalb County (GA) Rape Crisis Center, Board of Visitors of the Tucker Foundation (Dartmouth College) and on the Alumni Admissions Council for the Bloch School’s Executive MBA program. Currently, she serves on the board of the Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness, Nonprofit Connect, and the Greater Kansas City United Way.
Welcome to the team, Precious!
