The mission of CASA is to provide a meaningful voice and connection that instills hope and builds resilience for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
CASA fulfills its mission by recruiting, training, and supervising community volunteers. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges of the juvenile courts in Johnson & Wyandotte Counties to advocate for the best interests of children and youth in the foster care system.

Volunteer Opportunities: CASA offers several ways your organization can encourage volunteerism and make an impact on children’s lives. We have both individual and group volunteer opportunities available. Our individual volunteer opportunities include becoming an advocate, participating on our board of directors, joining an event committee, and offering your expertise as a skill-based volunteer. Our group volunteer opportunities include scheduling an information session to learn how your organization can get involved and coordinating a group volunteer activity.
