Meet our April Employee Campaign Manager Spotlight: Laura Hernandez of Eskridge!
Laura works as a Human Resources Generalist at Eskridge where she aims to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers her colleagues to thrive and contribute to company success. She believes being in the role of ECM provides her the opportunity to amplify her company’s impact and bring that to a larger audience, ultimately driving positive change at a larger scale.
Laura began her journey as an ECM six months ago when she joined her parent company. Her inspiration to help others comes from a desire to foster a sense of safety and security within her community. “Knowing that I can contribute to creating an environment where people feel cared for and supported is what drives me forward,” she said.
Her passion was strengthened through her background in volunteering where she has given time for a variety of initiatives, including volunteering for disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico during hurricanes or at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, she has contributed to fundraising activities for the FIRST Robotics Club at Mill Valley High School.
Her background in leveraging resources and partnerships to address pressing issues and improve lives in her community helped further prepare her for the role of ECM. She successfully led their company during their campaign season in 2023 to meet their fundraising participation target. “A highlight of last campaign season was seeing staff come together in creative and innovative ways to support those in need,” she shared.
Thank you, Laura, for your passion to making a positive impact in the lives of others. Check back each month for more inspiring stories as we continue to spotlight ECMs who embody the spirit of being a Waymaker™.
