
The Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Missouri-Kansas City has named its newest class of Senior Fellows. Fellows are a group of distinguished leaders who bring lived experience, wisdom, and commitment to the nonprofit and philanthropic sector in our community. A United Way executive, and staff for several United Way partner organizations have been selected for this prestigious position.
In a newsletter about the selections, the Midwest Center’s Managing Director Tom Vansaghi, PhD, said, “They represent the very best of our region, spanning philanthropy, direct service, advocacy, governance, consulting, education, healthcare, arts and culture, and civic leadership. Together, they form a trusted council of advisor and thought partners who will help guide and strengthen the Midwest Center’s work as we advance nonprofit leadership and organizational capacity for the common good.”

Senior Fellows serve the Midwest Center and the broader nonprofit community through strategic guidance to inform direction and priorities, contributing their expertise, mentoring students and emerging leaders, convening and connecting leaders across sectors, and serving as ambassadors for the Midwest Center/champions for nonprofit leadership.
