ECM Spotlight: Sam Kueny of Levy Craig Law Firm

September 2, 2025

Since joining Levy Craig Law Firm in 2020, Sam Kueny has led as Chief Operating Officer as well as taken the reins as the company’s Employee Campaign Manager (ECM) for United Way. It’s a big reason the firm was chosen to receive the All-In Award at this year’s Waymaker Awards, held in July. For Sam, the role was a natural extension of his leadership. “I felt that if my day-to-day role was to be a leader at our firm, then it only made sense for me to be a leader in our donation campaign as well,” he said.

Sam is continually inspired by the way his team shows up year after year. After consistently reaching 100% participation, his focus has shifted to increasing overall giving. So far, the firm has exceeded expectations. One of his proudest moments came when he proposed raising the company’s matching gift for donors.

“I went to our Shareholder group and proposed that we increase our firm match by 10% as well. Nobody even asked how much it would cost the firm, they just said yes immediately. The same thing happened this year when we raised our match again. It’s those small commitments to generosity that make me so proud of our group,” he shared.

Beyond fundraising, Sam helps foster a culture of giving by leading firmwide volunteer efforts. His team has supported United Way Impact 100 partners like Operation Breakthrough, where they worked in classrooms and community gardens, and Synergy Services, where they packed holiday food and winter items for the organization’s holiday market.

Partnering with United Way, Sam says, makes charitable giving both impactful and accessible. “Life at the firm can get busy and chaotic, so having a partner like United Way who is solely dedicated to focusing on our community makes a huge difference when it comes to planning events and encouraging participation.”

For Sam Kueny, being an ECM isn’t just about running a campaign. It’s about fueling a culture of generosity that stretches across the entire company. To learn about more ECMs making a difference through their workplace campaigns, visit here.
