Leaders United is the United Way’s largest donor group and is comprised of like-minded individuals committed to a mission of fighting poverty, hunger and homelessness in our community. Leaders United has pivoted to become ambassadors for the United Way with a focus on advocacy through networking and participation in community events. Giving back to the community in which I live and work is something that has been instilled in me at a young age. I have seen first-hand the incredible impact that the United Way and their partner organizations have afforded to those in our KC Community and it’s truly inspiring. I am so fortunate to partner with the passionate and dynamic United Way staff and Leaders United Cabinet and invite you to join us in our efforts to make KC a better place for everyone.

Leaders United has been a great way to learn about and connect to United Way of Greater KC and people trying to make KC a better place to live, play and work. The opportunities to learn, participate, contribute and network through Leaders United and UWGKC are diverse. During my time affiliated with the group I’ve been able to participate in short-term volunteer projects, long-term volunteer projects, mentoring programs for KC youth, and many events that have helped me meet new people and learn more about various non-profits, corporations and small businesses in the KC Metro. Years ago I was asked to become a Company Champion of Leaders United’s predecessor group, and without that opportunity, I would not have had the fortune of these experiences.
