Maximum Impact
One hundred percent of individual gifts go directly to their designated community partners (nonprofits), and unrestricted funding allows them to use your gift however they see fit. United Way of Greater Kansas City covers its overhead through corporate gifts and private funding.

The United Way of Greater Kansas City takes the responsibility of spending the dollars you entrust to us very seriously. You want your contribution to make the biggest impact, and we consider it our duty to make that happen. We’re proud of our record of efficiency and strive to be completely transparent to donors who place their confidence and hard-earned money in our care to use effectively in our community.
Community Oversight
United Way of Greater Kansas City is a local organization, overseen by a Board of Trustees made up of local community leaders. These volunteers (and many others) help create our strategic plan as well as our Community Impact Agenda.
