United Way of Greater Kansas City is pleased to announce the selection of this year’s Impact 100 partners. This annual list is comprised of 100 vital health and human service organizations that United Way and our community consider to be meeting community needs and creating positive changes in our region.
Organizations selected for this year’s Impact 100 submitted applications, which were reviewed by a diverse community advisory group. Organizations must meet a high bar of financial responsibility and be actively working to address the critical challenges facing the Kansas City region today. Impact 100 organizations will receive unrestricted funding from United Way to address their individual nonprofit’s most pressing needs.
“We are proud to be a trusted community partner, charged with evaluating the optimal use of our region’s philanthropic investments to impactfully meet community needs,” said Jessica Blubaugh, United Way of Greater Kansas City Chief Philanthropy Officer. “The organizations included in this year’s Impact 100 are incredibly diverse in their reach, populations served and focus areas of work.”
Impact 100 organizations represent all six counties served by United Way of Greater Kansas City. Broadly, they aim to improve health, enhance youth opportunity, foster financial security, and create community resiliency so that all have the ability to thrive.
“We look forward to partnering and collaborating with each of these organizations to drive meaningful impact across our community,” said Essence Yancey, United Way Director of Community Impact.
In addition to Impact 100 investments, United Way provides other avenues of direct assistance to our community through 211, our region’s 24/7 resource and referral service, while also driving real-time solutions through investments in diverse organizations with the Nonprofit Catalyst Grant, eviction prevention, family stability, utility relief, and emergency assistance work.
