Additionally, we encourage you to give your time this holiday season. Join our “Seasons of Giving” events featuring several volunteer opportunities with our partner agencies.
Below is a list of our partner agencies needing donation items, including locations and donation drop-off times. This list will be ever-changing, so check back often for updated needs!
Amethyst Place: Donation appointments are offered Tuesday through Friday between 10 am to 2 pm. Visit this website for donation item needs and to schedule a donation drop-off.
Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas: Non-perishable food donations are accepted at Family Support Center pantries, Hope Distribution Center (1708 Steele Road, Kansas City, KS 66106), local community food drives & designated parish pick-up points. Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas always needs gift-in-kind goods, such as food, toiletries, clothing & more. Most needed items include peanut butter, canned meat, tomatoes, canned beans, and dry beans. Donations are also accepted at upcoming food drives. Gently used items can be donated at locations found here.
Children’s Mercy Hospital: 2420 East Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO 64108. Schedule your drop-off and view the list of acceptable donation items here.
Cornerstones of Care: To donate, contact Lea Loudon at lea.loudon@cornerstonesofcare.org. Ongoing needs include sets of dishes, pots & pans, hygiene supplies, socks & underwear, bath towels & washcloths, twin-sized sheet sets, twin-size comforters, and laundry baskets.
Della Lamb: Operation Holiday is Della Lamb’s annual holiday event. Visit their wishlist here. Donate new and gently used coats on December 13 between 3:30pm – 5pm or December 14, 10 – 11 am.
Goodwill of Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas: Several donation locations and hours can be found here.
Harvesters: 3801 Topping Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64129 OR 1220 Timberedge Road, Lawrence, KS 66049. Nonperishable food donations can be dropped off at either location, Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM. Items can be dropped off at Price Chopper donation barrels, and for a limited time at Hy-Vee stores during the Check-Out Hunger campaign. View the most needed items here.
Jewish Vocational Services (JVS): 4600 The Paseo, Kansas City, MO 64112. JVS accepts new and used clothing donations, school supplies, housewares, and toys. Items can be brought to their location on weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
KidsTLC: Building #1, 480 S. Rogers Road, Olathe, KS 66062. Drop off items Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Visit their wish list here.
Newhouse: Holiday Boutique allows Newhouse residents and clients to shop for gifts for their families free of charge. Items needed include toys, games, books, blocks, clothing, PJs, art supplies, clothing for teens and kids, comic books, self-care items, gift cards under $20, hobby items, PJs, robes, slippers, socks, blankets, and purses. Donate items December 1 – 13 by scheduling a drop-off at this link.
Nourish KC: 750 Paseo Kansas City, Mo 64106. Donate warm-weather clothing including new or gently used coats, sweaters, gloves, hats, scarves, and boots. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday, between 10 AM and 2 PM.
Operation Breakthrough: 3039 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64109. Small donations, such as children’s clothing and housewares, are accepted Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the back dock of Corita’s Place on the west side of Troost (on Harrison Street). Pull up to the back dock and someone will assist you.
Redemptorist Center: 207 Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, MO, 64111. Donation drop-off Monday through Friday, 9AM to 2PM. Items needed include blankets, sheets & pillows, towels, small containers of laundry soap, mens clothing, mens shoes, personal hygiene items: soap, toothbrushes, toothpastes, brushes, shampoo, lotion, etc.
Rose Brooks: Their Holiday Store at Ward Parkway Center collects new, unwrapped gifts which are given directly to the families receiving services. The store helps create a special holiday season, even during crisis, providing a bright, safe future. Drop off new toys December 11 – 15, Monday through Saturday 10:00AM – 7:00PM and Sunday Noon – 5:00PM. For more information and to visit their wish list, click here.
Sisters In Christ: 6317 Evanston Avenue, Raytown, Missouri 64133. Donation drop-offs can be scheduled here. Items most needed include vehicles, laptops, phones, food cards from local grocery stores, bus passes, journals 5.5 x 8.5, and undated planners 5.5 x 8.5.
The Children’s Place: 6401 Rockhill Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131. Donations can be dropped off during business hours. Donations needed include canned green beans/corn, shelf-stable cookie mix, vegetable oil, mashed potatoes, individually packaged snacks and breakfast items, cranberry sauce, cream of mushroom and chicken soups, fried onions, canned meat, and applesauce cups.
The Salvation Army of Kansas and Western Missouri: Several locations and hours can be found here.
The Single Mom KC: 11539 W. 83rd Terrace, Overland Park, KS 66214. The Single Mom KC’s boutique, Clothed with Dignity, receives donations on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Please drop off donations at the back door. Urgent need for Fall and Winter: Plus-sized and regular-sized winter tops, athletic wear, hoodies, and coats. Current needs include all sizes and styles of women’s clothing, all seasons (new clothing, current trends, and only clothing in very good condition); Women’s jewelry; Purses; Women’s shoes in very good condition; Personal hygiene toiletries (full-sized, new items only). We do not accept children’s or men’s clothing, baby items, books, or household items.
