In September, United Way of Greater Kansas City partnered with every major professional sports team in Kansas City, along with Harvesters, the Voter Network and the League of Women voters, to pop-up at a series of mobile food distribution sites to provide opportunities for members of our community to register to vote or update their registration.
The Voter Network & League of Women Voters combined to engage with 795 households around voter registration, absentee voting options, and day-of-election plans. Between the two organizations, 78 new voters were registered across the three sites and dozens of vote-by-mail requests were facilitated.
United Way Impact 100 partner Harvesters—The Community Food Network distributed an incredible 65,916 pounds of food across all sites, providing essential support to 2,746 individuals.
