ECM Spotlight: Michael Hauger of John Deere

March 6, 2024

Meet our March ECM Spotlight: Michael Hauger of John Deere! Michael is a Territory Customer Support Manager at John Deere where he provides product support for dealers and customers, aiming to make an exceptional John Deere customer experience.

As an Employee Campaign Manager going on 9 months, Michael believes his past experience volunteering with United Way helped prepare him for the role. For the past three years, Michael has helped with planning United Way events at the Olathe office. “This felt as a natural fit to lead the 2024 campaign,” he said. “Understanding the benefit United Way provides greater Kansas City, allows me to show the passion with committee members and keep them engaged throughout the year.”

Michael’s goals for John Deere’s 2024 campaign include raising $50,000 with 50% participation. Their campaign kicked off with Oktoberfest and will end in May with “10 Days of United Way” filled with a variety of activities to get involved.

“I feel very proud to lead the committee members here in the Olathe office,” said Michael. “I enjoy leading a group of volunteers that come up with creative ideas to raise money for a great cause! It is great to see the events come together and money raised.” He shares a great achievement was awarding United Way of Greater Kansas City a grant for $98,010.

Having the opportunity to learn more about United Way of Greater Kansas City and working with his relationship manager and the overall United Way team has been a positive part of Michael’s experience.

Thank you, Michael, for your commitment to supporting our mission and community. Keep an eye out for more uplifting stories as we continue to spotlight ECMs who show what it means to be a Waymaker™.
