We are incredibly grateful to UMB Bank for awarding a $50,000 grant to support United Way of Greater Kansas City’s 211 services! These funds will be used exclusively for the cost of enhancing the core services of United Way 211 operations across health and human service domains, allowing 211 to make critical support to residents of the 23 counties in and surrounding the Kansas City metro.
United Way 211 is the only regionally accredited information and referral resource available locally. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, 211 can assist individuals with finding essential resources in our community. In 2022, navigators handled more than 300,000 contacts and met 90-percent of needs. From utility payment assistance to help with tax preparation, individuals can simply dial 211 to connect with caring Community Resource Navigators who are trained to navigate a database of more than 7,000 community services.
Thank you to UMB Bank for their generosity in supporting our mission to connect community members with valuable resources. To learn more about United Way’s 2-1-1 services, read here.
