This week is Addiction Awareness Week reminding us of the strength and courage it takes to walk the path of substance use recovery. We created this video with Amethyst Place, First Call, and Swope Health discussing the challenges of navigating resources for substance use recovery and highlighting two individuals who have celebrated recovery themselves. United Way is proud to stand alongside organizations that champion this mission, because recognizing substance use recovery is a crucial step in supporting those on their healing journeys. Together, we can break the stigmas that persist against people with substance use disorder and foster a more compassionate community.
Give today to support the recovery of those struggling with substance use disorder through United Way and our Impact 100 partners at UnitedWayGKC.org/donate.
