United Way’s second annual INCOMMON event welcomed women philanthropists across the Kansas City metro for an evening of networking, shopping, and celebration. Hosted by Women United, over 150 women, cis women, trans women, and non-binary people gathered at The Everly Event Space.
One highlight of the evening was our “United By Women” panel, moderated by Women United member, Jennifer Matney. The panel featured outstanding women leaders in the Kansas City community including Sierra Otto, Founder and Owner of Sierra Winter Jewelry; Kayla Mason, Co-Founder of SipSteady; Dr. Kia Turner, Founder and Executive Director of Red Apple Education; and Lesley Reyes, Founder and Owner of Café Ollama.
Attendees had the opportunity to shop over 15 women-owned businesses onsite. Thank you to the evening’s vendors: Amethyst Place, Crwnd Illustrations by Kds, Megan Kasper Art, The Scented Webb, Henna by Jayna, AK Cosmetics by Amandeep, Sierra Winter Jewelry, Floral Babe Co., MiddlestWest and Brown Suga KC.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for an impactful evening!
