Campaign season is officially underway! 🎉
The City of Kansas City, MO kicked off their campaign with a Charity Campaign Kickoff Party.
Staff enjoyed live jazz music, BBQ lunch and a scavenger hunt with prized to celebrate the start of their engaging campaign.
Mayor Quinton Lucas, along with City Manager, Brian Platt and United Way’s Chief Philanthropy Officer, Jessica Blubaugh, spoke about how staff can get involved and United Way’s initiatives that support the community.
Several of our partner agencies were present and engaged with the City staff, sharing information about their work and volunteer opportunities, including Cultivate KC, Jewish Vocational Services of Kansas City, AbilityKC, CASA Jackson County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City, and more!
The City has over 4,000 employees and includes numerous departments such as Parks & Recreation, Fire (KCFD), Police (KCPD), and more. Here’s to a successful campaign for the City of Kansas City, MO!
