We are delighted to introduce Brad Evans as the August featured Employee Campaign Manager (ECM) in our ECM Spotlight series. At our recent Ignite event, we had the opportunity to meet with Brad, who has recently taken on the role of ECM for Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Kansas City. Founded in 1891, VNA is a nonprofit organization with a long history of service and care in our city.
During our discussion, Brad shared that VNA and United Way have a relationship that spans back decades, highlighting the organization’s historical significance. “Our organization has a personal connection to United Way that goes back decades, when it was known as the Red Feather Society and Community Chest.”
Brad is enthusiastic about launching his first internal campaign at VNA. Emphasizing the importance of reciprocal giving, he said, “As a leadership team and nonprofit organization in Kansas City, we believe in not only receiving funds but also in giving back to the community. That’s why we chose United Way.”
At Ignite, Brad spent the morning with our new ECMs, learning more about United Way and workplace campaigns. Facilitated by Kenzi Hoyle, VP of Corporate Partnerships at United Way, ECMs shared their ideas with each other to create engaging campaigns that encourage employee participation. Brad said he’s excited to explore new activities during VNA’s campaign, such as corn-hole and hallway bowling.
We look forward to witnessing the creative ideas and ways our ECMs bring their internal campaigns to life during this upcoming campaign season! Stay tuned for more inspiring narratives as we continue to shine the spotlight on ECMs who embody community-driven change.
