Dynamic and influential, this donor network of Waymakers is committed to advancing early childhood development in Kansas City through leadership, philanthropy, collaboration, volunteerism and advocacy.

Women United was established locally in 2009 and continues to uplift women and make a positive impact on our area’s youngest residents.

Our Mission – Advancing early childhood development in Kansas City.

Membership – We currently have 506 Women United members locally and more than 55,000 globally.

Community engagement

Dedicated Impact bus tour to women led and women serving organizations
Various community service opportunities include the annual Refresh A Classroom, where members partner with a local Head Start facility each August to support teachers as they prepare to welcome students.

Networking

In Common is an annual social networking open to all ladies who have partnered with the United Way to uplift the local community

Philanthropy

Purses for Promise is an all purse-based silent auction and networking event that supports local early childhood development efforts

Participate in our 3-Year Step Up program and receive full membership benefits in the first year: Year 1 ($16,00), Year 2 ($2,000), Year 3 ($2,400).
