This year, Lockton is bringing fresh energy to its United Way campaign with the help of first-time Employee Campaign Managers (ECMs) Brian Carson and Sierra Sparks. While both are new to the ECM role, their shared focus on engagement, connection and community impact is helping shape an exciting campaign season for Lockton associates.
Brian Carson, an Analytics Manager at Lockton, stepped into the role after being asked to represent the company’s Overland Park office and help strengthen connections across Lockton’s Kansas City locations.
“One of my goals is participation,” Brian said. “Trying to get more people from our particular division involved and bringing as many people as we can out to the events that we’re having for the nine days.”
As part of its campaign, Lockton will host a kickoff event and several activities designed to bring associates together while raising support for United Way, all featuring a Western theme.
Brian shares how Lockton’s workplace campaign is about more than fundraising. It’s about continuing a legacy of community involvement started by Jack Lockton.
“I think it really comes all the way back to our founder, Jack Lockton. This is really one of his missions,” Brian said. “I really love how the organization has continued to carry it forward. That we’re continuing to do this and continuing to partner with organizations that help people in Kansas City.”
Working alongside Brian is Sierra Sparks, an Events and Communications Coordinator at Lockton. Sierra’s role focuses on creating meaningful experiences that strengthen company culture, making the United Way campaign a natural fit.
“We put a lot of hard work in the back end that I think it’s something that associates are really going to appreciate and hopefully people are going to buy in because of the new experiences,” Sierra said.
Lockton’s campaign is supported by a committee of representatives from across the business, ensuring every major division has a voice and a role in the effort. The team collaborates closely behind the scenes to plan events, engage associates and create new experiences throughout the campaign.
We are so grateful for Lockton and the work its ECMs invest to make an impact in our Kansas City community. To learn how other ECMs are making a difference through their workplace, visit here.
