Emergency Food and Shelter Program
United Way is pleased to announce a funding opportunity through Phase 34 of the federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Eligible applicants serving Jackson, Clay, Platte or Cass Counties in Missouri may seek a grant in one of the following categories:
1) Emergency Shelter Services
2) Rent/Utility/Food Pantry Assistance
3) Served Meals (community-based meal program serving low-income residents multiple times per week)
To apply for funds, complete one of the attached application forms and submit with a copy of your organization’s IRS tax exemption letter to Trish Brashears at email@example.com by noon on July 7, 2017. An email with attached documentation is sufficient; it is not necessary to mail the original.
2017-18 Request For Proposals
United Way of Greater Kansas City is accepting proposals for funding consideration for the 2017-18 funding cycle. Currently funded partner organizations are eligible to submit a funding proposal for one or more programs aligned with investment areas outlined in the 2017-18 United Way of Greater Kansas City Request for Proposals. For organizations not currently affiliated with United Way
United Way of Greater Kansas City will only be accepting new program funding requests (from organizations not currently affiliated with United Way) under the first three of the specialized Requests for Proposal listed above—after school/summer programs, financial stability programs using the FOC models, home visiting services for at-risk newborns and their parents through the Promise 1000 initiative.
If your organization does not operate a program in one of the three above-referenced areas, it is not eligible to seek funding consideration in the 2017-18 funding cycle. To be kept apprised of future funding opportunities, complete the form
